The ceramic coating is an "inorganic" coating, the base resin has ceramic-like properties, and the key reaction that forms the main component of the final film occurs during the application and curing of the coating.
Baking pans are usually made of thinner standard metal, and consumers can bend them slightly in normal kitchen use.
